Connect a Client desktop
Approve only the code shown by your own Client.
Client access remains gated until qualification is complete. When enabled:
- Open the Client account control and choose Create sign-in code. Keep the dialog open; it displays the code and waits for approval.
- Choose Copy sign-in address, open that address in your own browser, and sign in to your team account with Google or GitHub. Select a workspace.
- Enter and approve exactly the code shown by that Client. Never approve an unsolicited code. On success the Client reports Customer workspace connected and closes the dialog; eligible models can then load when the service is available.
- To disconnect later, a workspace administrator uses Revoke beside the desktop under Connected desktops. A revoked Client must connect again.
If connecting fails
- Code expired: return to the Client and choose Create sign-in code again when ready. Approve only the new displayed code. If polling is slowed, leave the dialog open until approval or expiry.
- Secure storage failed: on Linux install
secret-tooland enable/unlock your desktop's Secret Service, then create and approve a new code. On Windows check that the signed-in user's DPAPI profile is available. The Client reports failure rather than saving a plaintext fallback. - No model appears: confirm the desktop is connected, the workspace and service are available and the model catalog has loaded. Reconnect or refresh models explicitly after resolving the reported account or network error. The public gate may still be closed; do not bypass the service gate.
The Client stores its customer credential using DPAPI on Windows or Secret Service on Linux.
Expected result and safe recovery
The desktop reports Customer workspace connected after the code is approved and secure storage succeeds. A code belongs to one connection attempt; do not approve a code you did not request. If approval fails or the service is closed, no successful connection should be assumed. Check the selected workspace and its service availability before creating a fresh code. Revocation stops future authenticated use of that desktop; it does not delete local project files.
